Video Wig Review: Shari by Envy in Color Light Blonde

Yes, I did shoot the entire video with a section of the wig hair sticking out. I didn’t realize it until I was editing it, and by then it was too late. Try to ignore it I guess. Also I had just purchased a different foundation and used it for the first time when filming this, and I think my face looks a little yellow. Sorryboutit.

Disclaimers: I bought this item with my own money and no one paid or asked me to do the review. Opinions are my own.

  1. This isn’t your usual color choice for sure, but–I like it! It’s fun and punk-rock-y. It seems like a shorter version of the Ellen Wille Sky wig. It’s a neat color, especially with those glasses, and that little “fwoop!” sticky-outy section could be shoved in, no problem. Do you think it’s like a smooth version of Caitlyn–LIKE Caitlyn, but not all super-curly?

    • I guess it’s the same idea as Caityn, with the height in the crown and longer bangs up front. It’s really longer all over though. I love the color; wish I could pull it off!

  2. Well, first I love the color, mainly because it’s close to my color. I also like the style. If you aren’t wild about this piece and are looking for someone to give it to, I’m available. 🙂
Secondly, I don’t think your makeup looks yellow at all.

  3. You have a way of making me look at wigs differently. I hadn’t even thought about parts, for instance. The style is cute on you. The color is pretty, but it either isn’t your best color or it’s the foundation. I could NEVER wear that color.

    • People who wear wigs often worry about having a natural part and fear others will notice if they don’t, but I never thought to look at a woman’s part until I heard other wig-wearers talking about them! And I hated it when I had a part in my hair when I wore it short, I didn’t want one. I think the foundation is just a little off in color, but since it’s a new formulation for me I have to play around with it. And an ashy blonde isn’t ever going to look as good on me as a warmer one, so that’s part of it too.

      • That’s my thing: that I can’t wear ashy tones at all. Disastrous. Well if I didn’t wear my hair in my 30 year old bob I wouldn’t have to worry about a part, I guess, but all my part means to me is ugly roots that always seem to be coming after me.

        • I hear you! I am about to bite the bullet and color my hair one last time though…I can’t stand the lighter crap around the ends any longer. I am just going to color it to match my real color and let that grow out again…it isn’t too difficult right now because my gray isn’t yet very noticeable, so I might as well do it now.

  6. Thank you so much for this review. Actually I was looking for a good description/view of Envy’s Light Blonde, and you were so helpful! Also, I love your lipstick shade. Would you be able to tell me the brand/color? Thank you.
