Video Wig Review: Bennett by Tony of Beverly in Iced Champagne

I last filmed videos around November 11th, and since that time I haven’t even looked at wigs online or given them much thought – I’ve just been focused on other things. However, this morning I realized I still needed to edit the Bennett review, which also reminded me to go check out what new releases there might have been from wig manufacturers since I last bothered to look. I was surprised to find nothing new anywhere, but in thinking  about it I guess it hasn’t been all THAT long since I last shopped online. Still, it was a bit of a bummer to see nothing new has been released recently. Oh well.

Funny story about this wig: I found it at wigoutlet.com for a really good price, but they only had a handful of colors available. I immediately shared the information with people I know online, and Christine Lee (Blondie Locks on YouTube) also decided to buy one the same day I did. Since they didn’t have much in the way of colors to choose from, I bought a blonde, but got the darkest one I could find, which was the 24BT 18. Christine bought one in Iced Champagne. Welp, I got my order in fairly quickly but for various reasons didn’t open the box right away, and when I did I was disappointed to find the outlet had sent the wrong color – they sent me a Bennett in Iced Champagne even though the order receipt clearly stated the 24BT18 color. I honestly can’t remember how Christine and I figured out what happened; I think I went to Facebook and asked her if she ever got hers in and she said she did but the color was too dark for her, so she sold it. I asked if she was sure she got the right color, and as it turned out she hadn’t even looked at the name of it, just tried it on, thought it was too dark, and sold it. Turns out, the one she received and sold was, in fact, the 24BT 18 I’d ordered. So, wigoutlet.com essentialy just sent us each other’s orders!

Even though she had already sold the color I wanted, the person she sold it to ended up not wanting it, so I bought it off of her. I contacted wigoutlet (which is just the outlet branch of wigs.com) and asked if the right color could be shipped to me, but they no longer had it in stock. They told me I could return the Bennett I received free of charge (Christine looked at pics of it but decided it would still be too dark) or I could keep it, and they would send me a second wig for free to make up for sending me the wrong one. That sounded like a fine deal to me, so I kept the Iced Champagne, paid the other buyer for the 24BT18, and got a third wig out of the whole situation. (That wig was, however, quite unappealing – it was a Christie Brinkley one and once I put it on I saw why they were giving it away for free, but still, not gonna complain about a free wig).

I filmed a review of the Bennett in Iced Champagne before the 24BT18 came in, so I don’t have a vid of that color, but I did take pics of both and will include them below. I don’t plan on keeping either one, so if you want one of them for $99, let me know – great price for hand-tied cap, but I paid about $120 for each of them on sale.

  1. At first I thought oooh it’s blonde! But it actually grew on me and then I thought how pretty it looked on you. I think as I’ve got older I’m looking at more lighter colours maybe that’s (now whose rambling! 🙂 ) Anyway I just love your necklace, stunning!

    • I think if I were to go this light I’d have to change my clothes and makeup to go with it! Although I wouldn’t mind a super-blonde shorty ‘do; I always did like that look.

Have you checked out the new OMG clothes lately? Cute stuff! And with it being 80 degrees here again, looks like I’ll be able to wear some of it on Christmas, LOL.
