dark matters
halfway to home
a bolt of lightning
hit your plane,
& for 5 seconds
it was black
& silent & you
were a particle of dark
matter that, if eliminated,
would scatter
the mass of my universe,
gravity-less
& irretrievable

Love physics related poem. Enough for me that you connect dark matter and gravitons even though I don’t understand this physics. That aside, very well written.
I don’t understand dark matter either, really. I used a great deal of poetic license here.
Lovely poem…. life is so fleeting that something like that can really definitely bring reality smacking into the face…. gravity-less and irretrievable…… perfect choice of emotion…. when the prospect of the death of a very dear loved one enters our minds the world does turn upside down, and the only thing we want to do is bring them back…. grappling with that intense, infinite loss is the subject of many, many psych books and poems of great love…… Yours certainly stands up there Cynthia……
Thanks!
