Back in December 2019 I bought this Instax printer that pairs to my phone so I can print any image stored on it onto mini Instax film. At the time I thought it would be great fun at family and social gatherings, as well as with my students. Needless to say it hasn’t seen any use since March. Hopefully someday soon I’ll be able to put to use again, but for now it’s gathering dust.

Oh how cool is that!!
It is great fun – I mean, you can get an Instax camera but for $99 you can get this little printer and the plus side is you can choose what photos you print, whereas with the Instax cameras you point, shoot, and the photo prints out whether it’s good shot or not. Also you can use your iPhone which takes better photos in the first place. 🙂 It isn’t cheap and neither is the film, but my original plan was to take photos of all my students and put them into collages in my office. Unfortunately we went into lockdown before I got photos of all of them but I may start taking screenshots instead.
I wish I’d had one of these when I printed my own Tarot or at least paid to have a deck printed. I wanted images with words explaining the meaning upright and reversed at either end. The quality was not great and I rarely us this deck now.
That is actually a great idea!
